Open to Love

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. (Psalms 36:7 NKJV)

God teaches us so many things in the Bible, but over and over we are taught to LOVE! I feel that our society's view of love is sometimes off kilter in what love is perceived to be. How many ways can you love or show love to others?

Love is so much more than what one can give to another! Physical things cannot solely replace love. Things are forgotten, lost, broken or even traded away! Things are replaceable, love is not. Returned love can be looked at as a priceless gift!

We give and show our love in different ways but it's important to focus on how those we love feel loved. Whether it is words or actions, pay attention to keeping a balance of how you express love to others. If you only tell someone in words that you love them, it could end up causing an unwanted disconnect. Because that person may need an act here & there to feel your love! And vice versa. At no time should we assume others know we love them.

Sadly, some mistake affection and gifts as love because they crave it so deeply they would do anything to feel it. This is a hard habit to break, but it can be done! It takes commitment to do so, but the freedom gained is empowering!

Love unconditionally, everyone around you. Open your heart to those who don't love you back. More than likely they need love and possibly you could share God's love with them as their hearts begin to open! There is nothing more heartwarming than to finally break through someone's wall to see and feel who they really are! It is definitely worth the time investment.

God will always love us and protect us! He will not let us fall! If we trust in Him and in his words, we know that he will only strengthen us with his unconditional love!
